Cyprus is the third largest
island in the Mediterranean. Due to its
positioning at the crossroads of Europe, Asia and
Africa, it has had a very interesting history.
Many civilisations, realising the wealth and strategic
positioning of the island have claimed ownership, from
Alexander the Great, the Romans, Richard the Lion Heart,
the Venetians, the Ottomans and the British through to
the current independent Republican State of Cyprus.
This tour is designed to give
you a brief glimpse of Cyprus in years gone by. We
will visit sites of importance from many of the periods
mentioned above, where you will be given the time to
discover for yourself the wealth of history surrounding
them.
